Studies on Order Volvocales in China (Ⅰ)

In order to study and compile'Flora Algarum Sinicarum Aquae Dulcis:Order Volvocales',authors went to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomy,Inner Mongolia Autonomy and Hubei Province to collect specimens of Algae.This paper reports four new species,one new variation and nine new records in six genera of Volvocales in China.The genus Chloromonas and the genus Provasoliella are reported first time in China.Provasoliella wuhanica,Chlamydomonas alkalinophila,Chlamydomonas multgranulis and Chloromonas guangxinica are new species,Carteria aste- rochloris var.guangxinica is new variation.
