Distribution of Surface and Underground Water Resources in South Region to Tarim Desert Oil Field
塔里木沙漠油田南部区域地表水与地下水资源分布特征

Oil fields locate in the hinterland of Taklimakan desert. There is no surface river system, but teems with shallow groundwater. The groundwater reserves are huge but the dynamic replenishments are small. There is close water cycle relationship between the distribution of groundwater in desert hinterland and the formation and dynamics of surface runoff in southern piedmont region. The paper mainly analyzed the distribution of surface water and groundwater, the characteristics of water cycle, and the water balance in southern region to desert oil fields; had revealed the distribution status of water resources. The study can provide accurate data and theoretic references for rational water resources development in piedmont region and oil field region.
