A Misapplied Name in the Genus Delphinium (Ranunculaceae) from China
|
Abstract:
Delphinium tenii Lévl. Has long been applied as the name of a common Delphinium species with glabrous inflorescence axis and pedicels in northwestern Yunnan,China. Examina-tion of the type collection of this name has shown that the inflorescence axis and pedicels are densely retrosely puberulent. Delphinium tenii is thus not essentially different from D. Tatsienense, a species rather widely occurring in Sichuan and Yunnan. The correct name of the specimens previously referred to D. Tenii is considered to be D. Yuanum Chen.
