Preliminary Study on Quercus stewardii Community in Dabie Mt. of Anhui Province
安徽大别山黄山栎群落的初步研究

This paper analyzes the community characteristics and quality of Quercus stewardii fo- rest distributed in Tiantangzhai of Dabie Mountains. The vertical structure of Q.stewardii is rather simple. It can be divided into arborous layer, shrub layer, herbaceous layer and interstratum plants which are rare in quantity. The community has an outstanding dominant species and the arborous layer possesses a comparatively low diversity index. The Q.stewardii forest became the mountain-short-woods by the influences of environments. The Q.stewardii community is a declining stage. It doesn't renovates naturally well.
