Genetic Studies on Pod Color,Seed Coat Color and Growth Habit of Asparagus Bean
长豇豆荚色、籽粒色及生长习性的遗传研究

Varieties of multiple characters of asparagus bean (Vigna unguiculata W.ssp.sesquipe- dalis (L.) Verd.) were used to do genetic behavior researches.The results showed that seed coat color is controlled by a pair of allele genes,the black is dominant to the red and the white,while the red to the white and the mottled to the red are dominant.Growth habit is controlled by two pairs of allele,the climbing stem is superior dominant to the erect stem.Pod color is a qualitative character or a quantitative one relying on the experiment materials.But it can be concluded that the purple is dominant to light green,light green is dominant to green and it is the same for white to light green.
