Reasonable Exploitation and Utilization of Groundwater Resource in North China
中国北方地区地下水资源的合理开发利用与保护

China is one of the water-shortage countries in the world, where the lack of water resource has been a restrictive factor to the sustainable development of local economy, especially in the northern China and northwestern China. On the basis of expounding the quantity, distribution and characteristics of groundwater in China, the key effect of groundwater on the economic development in North China is discussed in the paper. The method of paying equal attention to the exploitation, utilization and protection of groundwater resources is the key strategic countermeasures of ensuring the sustainable utilization of groundwater resources and the sustainable development of economy.
