Characteristics of Seed Dormancy Dormancy Breaking and Germination in Halophytes
盐生植物种子的休眠、休眠解除及萌发的特点

The characteristics of seed dormancy, dormancy breaking and germination in halophytes are discussed. The main contents are as follows: (1) The seed dormancy types of halophytes; (2) The essential conditions for dormancy breaking of seeds in halophytes; (3) The correlation between seed germination of halophytes and salinity. The inhibiting machanism of halophytic seeds by salinity is also discussed. Lastly, several key problems remaining to be solved in future researches into seed germination of halophytes, as well as the significance of the study on seed dormancy and germination of halophytes, are summarised.
