Design and Construction of Plant Germplasm Banks
植物种质资源库的设计与建设要求

With more attention paid to the preservation of plant germplasm resources in China, many institutions are preparing to build plant germplasm banks. However, the established germplasm banks encounter a variety of problems, such as some newly built gene banks having to be remolded and debugged several times before being put to use because China does not have specialties and standards for germplasm bank design and construction. This article describes the genebank types, technical parameters, design principles and experience in the construction of the plant germplasm banks.
