Effects of Water Stress on Lipid Compositions in Leaves of Chlorophytum comosum

The compositions of phospholipids in leaves and the compositions of fatty acids in membrane lipids in total phospholipids and in four main phospholipids (PG, PE, PC, PI) isolated from total phospholipids in the leaves of Chlorophytum comosum under three different water conditions (soil drought, normally watering, soil waterlogging) were measured. The results indicated that, as the change of water conditions from waterlogging to soil drought, the relative content of PE in phospholipid increased and the relative content of 16:0 in PE decreased markedly, while the relative contents of saturated fatty acids increased in MLFA, TPFA, PCFA and PIFA with no significant change in PGFA.
