Abstract:

The inherent resistance based on the secondary metabolites is the main component of the chemical defence mechanisms of plants. It is very important to study the interaction between the inherent resistant secondary metabolites and the exogenous insect-resistance protein, which may help us utilize the insect-resistance genes more effectively. Currently, many transgenic plants with foreign transgenes resistant to insect pests had been released into the environment. The expression of the foreign genes in transgenic plants could cause physiological changes in plants including the changes of secondary metabolism and thus these changes could lead to ecological effects on environment, which was also an important aspect of ecological risk assessment of transgenic plants released into environment. The present progresses of researches on the interaction between insectresistance protein and secondary metabolites were reviewed. The interaction among insect resistance proteins was also discussed and the research significance of the interaction of insect resistance factors were analyzed.
