Studies on Stem Segments Culture and Plantlet Regeneration of Suaeda forsk

Seeds of Suaeda Forsk were cultured on four different pH media. The rate of germination was the highest on the pH 7 medium after two days in culture. Six days after cultivation, it is found that the pH 9 medium was good for the sprouting of seeds too. The stem segments of Suaeda Forsk were cultured on MS media with different hormones. The calli were induced on the media. The induction frequency of calli amounts 100%. Adventitious buds occurred from the callus when BAP was combined with IAA on MS medium. Plantlets were finally formed when they were transferred to the rooting medium.
