Plant Disease Resistance Signaling Pathways

Recent studies of plant disease resistance signaling pathways are becoming one of the hot spots in phytopathology. Mutants affecting plant disease resistance and the related genes have been isolated. Plant defense system is regulated through a complex network by negative or positive modulators. This discussion will focus on R gene-mediated disease-resistant pathway, programmed cell death, SA and JA/ethylene-mediated signal transduction, induced systemic resistance and interplay between the signaling cascades.
