Medical Ethnobotany, a multi_disciplin subject studying medicinal plants used in traditional or folk medicine, has gained much attention from all over the world at present. The authors described the concept of traditional medicine, discussed the factors that draw attentions from the scientific world, and summarized advances of Medical Ethnobotany researches in different contries in this paper.
