TESTING STUDY ON THE DYNAMICALLY FORMED STONE COLUMN COMPOUND FOUNDATION
|
Abstract:
In order to eliminate the unfavorable effect of excess water pore pressure induced during dynamic consolidation, a consolidating method with heavily rammed stone columns on saturated silt soil and silt clay is put forward. The engineering testing study shows that the proposed method has overcome the shortcomings of the general dynamic consolidation. The stone columns have high strength and great effectiveness on the ground in depth, and the bearing capacity of soil between the piles is greatly enhanced. The bearing capacity of the compound foundation is two times more than that of natural ground. The application of the method in practical project has proved that the consolidated result with this method is very successful.
