RESEARCH ON DAMAGE BY BLASTING STRIPPING FOR THE CONCRETE COVER OF OVERFALL-DAM

Abstract:
The main results of blasting experiment on concrete cover layer of overfall dam in the reservoir are introduced. On the basis of experiment data and stress wave theory, the computation formula of damage depth is deduced. It is concluded that the blasting stripping way is completely capable to satisfy the demand of design and construction under the condition of adding soft cushion.
