This paper gives a detailed presentation of the history and current situation of unlined gas storag e caverns ,and also gives a fairly thorough analysis and discussion on the development,main principles,design and construction rules,and some expetiences of artificial water curtains. This paper will provide quite valued reference for the design andconstruction of tuture gas storage caverns in China.
