IDENTIFICATION OF AQUIFER PARAMETERS WITH MONTE-CARLO METHOD
|
Abstract:
Based upon measured data of water head and flow, the transmissivities of aquifer are identified with Monte Carlo random simulation to simulate the observed data. The uniqueness problem is solved by modifying the least squares method and adding a term of flow to the least squares criterion. The study results show that the identified values appear in normal distribution when the observed errors subject to the normal distribution. The relative error of the mean identified values of the transmissivity is less than 1% by making use of the identifying procedure suggested even if the standard error of observed water head approaches to 1 m.
