STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF ROUGHNESS OF FRACTAL JOINT ON STRESS STATE
分形节理粗糙度对应力状态影响的研究

Joint models with fractal construct are used to simulate the real rough joint. Aseries of uniaxial compression experiments of the synthesized rough joints are carried outand statistical method is applied to analyse the experimental data according to theelastoplasticity theory. The relation of fractal dimension with displacement, strength andother mechanical parameters has been obtained. The results show that the fractal modelcan provide a new method to study the mechanical properties of rock.
