Dring excavation of the south slope at Tianshengqiao(TSQ)Power House,the tilting failures occurred three times.After clearing off crushed rock blocks and treating, the following excavation of new slopeand foundation pit of the power house became fluent.The deformation of slope had been under controlwithin a small value. This article describes the calculation method on the tilting failure slope proceeded form the forces ana-lysis exerting the slope and applied at the south slope,TSQ Power House.It also introduces the principalof predriving rock bolts first?lied at TSQ Project and the measure was effective for slope treatment.
