STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF MAIN ROOF STABILITY DURING FIRST WEIGHTING IN LONGWALL FACE

The structure stability of main roof blocks during first weighting is analyzed in the case of contacting and not contacting with the wastes. It is pointed out that the roof control should be mainly to prevent the sliding instability, which is likely to appear in main roof blocks not contacting with wastes of fallen roof. The stability criteria of main roof during first weighting are put forward as well.
