THE DAMAGE FRACTURE THEORY AND ITS APPLICATION IN JOINTED ROCK MASS
|
Abstract:
In this paper, the damage and fracture behaviour of joint system in rock mass isstudied and analysed by adopting a combination concept with damage mechanics and fracture mechanics. The macrodamage tensor and damage strain are defined. An equivalentcontinuum damage fracture model is proposed.Under a compressive stress state, the closure effect of joints is considered.Tlie composite damage fracture strength theory for rockmass is established.Thereafter.the mutistage excavation procedure of an underground issimulated numerically by using above damage fracture model and the satisfactory resultsare obtained compared with in situ measured data.
