The characteristics of shiplock highslope is discussed in this paper.On the basis of mechanics calcula.tion and economic analysis,the economic slope angle is determined.Morever,A new structure modeun.derground shiplock combining with the slope is suggested.This is a new method for solving the high slopeof shiplock in three-gorges project.
