3D FRACTURE-DAMAGE ANALYSIS ON THE STABILITY OF THE ROCKMASS SURROUNDING UNDERGROUND POWERHOUSE IN RIGHT BANK OF THE THREE GORGES PROJECT
|
Abstract:
The rock mass surrounding underground powerhouse is cut by well-developed discontinuous joints in right bank of the Three Gorges project. The stability of the surrounding rock mass in the exit of powerhouse is concerned by the designer. A 3D constitutive laws and the damage evolutions of bolted discontinuous jointed rock mass are used to evaluate the stability and deformability of the surrounding rock mass during excavation and supporting. The calculated results indicate that the present laws and evolutions are available.
