DESIGN OF RETAINING WALLS WITH ANTI-SLIDE TIE

Abstract:
The design theory of retaining walls with anti-slide tie is studied systematically, and a new method on the design of retaining wall is presented. A nonlinear earth pressure coefficient formula of the earth pressure changing with retaining wall displacement is proposed, and load-deformation relationships of anti-slide tie under horizontal loading are discussed. The proposed method is applied to design of retaining wall with anti-slide tie. Through a case study, the results confirm that the proposed method is reasonable.
