Principle,Method and Application of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis

Abstract:
Preimplatation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is a very early form of prenatal diagnosis.Gametes or embryos are biopsied and a genetic diagnosis is carried out on the biopsied cells to investigate if the gametes or embryos is free of genetic disease.And the normal embryos is transferred to the mother.Comparing to the traditional prenatal diagnosis,PGD is a method that can avoid aborting a abnormal pregnant and reduce pains of women.In this review,we introduce the history of development and statues in quo,principle,method and application of PGD.
