?The investigation on the distribution of adenylate kinase (AK1) polymorphism in 23 ethnicgroups in Yunnan province of China, including the minorities of Yi, Bai, Hani, Zhuang, Dai, Miao, Lisu,Hui, Lahu, Wa, Naxi, Yao, Tibetan, Jingpo, Bulang, Pumi, Nu, Achang, Deang, Jino, Buyi, Dulong andKucong people, was carried out, using starch gel electrophoresis. The results showed that no homozygote and other variations were found. But heterozygotes were found in the minoritiesof Yi, Hui, Jingpo, Bulang, Nu and Deang. The ranges of AKT gene frequencies were 0.0045-0.0446.And gene frequency in Hui ethnic group amounts to level of polymorphism.
