Tectonic Division of High Grade Metamorphic Terrain and Late Archean Tectonc Evolution in North central part of North China Craton
|
Abstract:
After regional tectonic map complition and detail observation at key sections, the Longquanguan Sanggan tectonic belt(LSB)trending in NNE direction is recoginzed in the central part of North China Craton and is characterized by large scale ductile shear zones, granitic belt and numerous high pressure granulite lenses or slices. The shear zones are dominated by thrusting in NW-SW direction, resulted in imbrication of basement complex with supracrustal sequences including khondalite series, and isothermal decompression and uplift of high pressure granulites.Regionally,LSB joints Ordos craton with Fuping Zanhuang craton, which are chiefly composed of Archean TTG granitic rocks khondalites and TTG granitic rocks supracrutal sequences respectively, recorded late Archean tectonic syntaxis process.
