The Ages of K-Ar Isochron and ~(39)Ar-~(40)Ar of Granites from Qinling Area and Their Geological Significance

Abstract:
This article summarized a large number of published K--Ar apparent ages. On this basis the influence of 36Ar on the dating is proposed demonstrating its significance for the K-Ar dating system of granites from Qinlin area. It is well illustrated that the cooling periods of the magmatic activeties in this area are mainly concentrated in the four stages of 470-570, 309-360, 214-190 and 95-- 105 Ma ago, thus providing some definite upper time limit for the post--Paleozoic geolynamic processes of the Yangtze and NorthChina plates.
