Petrology, Petrogenetic Type and Tectonic implication of Wulingshan Alkaline Granitic Complex in Northern Hebei Province, China
|
Abstract:
Wulingshan alkaline granitic complex in nothern Hebei province, composed of porphyraceous alkali feldspar syenite, alkali quartz syenite porphyry, alkali quartz syenite, alkali feldspar syenite porphyry, is a representative rock formed in early Certaceous. The data of geology, Petrology, trace and rare earth element geochemistry of this rock is reported and used to discuss on petrogenic type and tectonic implication. They show that the complex is a silicon-saturated and alkaline to peralkaline A-type granitic series, with low degree of denudation and shallow depth of emplacement. It indicates that a rift-valley tectonic setting was in northern China during the Mesozoic era.
