Zircon SHRIMP ages of Aolaoshan granite from the south margin of Qilianshan and its geological significance.
|
Abstract:
Zircon SHRIMP ages of Aolaoshan granite from the south margin of Qilian range from 445 Ma to 496 Ma, with an averaged age of 473 Ma, belonging to the early Ordovician. Geochemically, the granites are similar to I type granites. Tectonically, the granite was formed in island arc based on some discriminated diagrams. Combined with regional geology, authors suggest that the granite was one part of the ultra high pressure metamorphic belt of the south margin of Qilian and both have a close relationship.
