Study on Spaceborne Topography Mapping Altimeter
星载三维成像雷达高度计研究

This paper presents the system scheme of a new radar altimeter suitable for high spatial resolution earth topography observation.The new system is equipped with two parabolic antennas.The synthetic aperture techniques in azimuthal direction and the linear frequency modulation (LMF) pulse compression techniques ensures the two dimensional resolution of the terrain resolution cell,while the correlation phase extraction processing of the signals from the two receiving channel enables the estimation of the height of the resolution cell.This new altimeter can be used both in ocean and land observation.
