Knowledge Linking: History, Future and Action

The article introduced the importance of knowledge linking to library information service in the Internet and the history of knowledge linking. The future development of knowledge linking motivated by the new scholarly publication model and new standards and technologies were analyzed. Current actions of the libraries and information service providers were briefly described.
