The Status and its Solutions to Develop the CD-ROM Databases in China
我国光盘数据库发展的现状及对策

On the basis of summaring the characteristics of developmet of CD-ROM technology and CD-ROM databases outside the world, the author divider the development of Chinese CD- ROM into three stages, i. e, importing, secondly explorating and creating stage, completely summary every stage s characteristic and the use of CD-ROM in library and Information field. the questions about use and exploration of CD-ROM are also analysed deeply. Some suggestions to import CD-ROM, combine to establish CD-ROM databases, improve university networks and instityte's networks,and enlarge full-text database's covering journals are also given.
