Based on the application of Totals acquisition subsystem in Chengdu Documentation and Information Center of CAS,this paper summarizes the significance of constructing this subsystem and its effects on acquisition,catalogue,circulation,coordination of regional cooperative acquisition and holdings development. It also hopes that the functions of this subsystem especially handling the standing order and the order form will be further improved in the new integrated library automation system.
