With the development of the databases,the protection of the intellectual property right is becoming more and more important. This article attempts to introduce the status quo and basic priciples of database intellectual property right protection and also discusses some problems emerging in intellectual property right protection. The author raises some suggestions to enhance intelluctual property right protection for database.
