The Realization of Page-Pushing Technology in Library’s Virtual Reference System

This paper introduces the exploration, practice and development of Virtual Reference System( RVS) , with the emphasis on the design and technical exploration of the Page - Pushing module in digital library RVS in Nanjing Agricultural University. On the basis of the exploration and practice, the author puts forward that the realization of Page - Pushing function should be based on the ActiveX technology in Visual Basic 6, combined with Timer Widget in VB 6 and other widgets such as WebBrower, and thus developing Web sites which can realize the Page - Pushing function on the Internet.
