Development and Application of Computer-Assisted Software for Science Information Consulting

Based on the experiences and rules that summarized from the science information consulting work,Tsinghua University Library apply the computer-assisted technology to the science information consulting process.A unique computer-assisted software application named WordSnap is developed to assist the consultant to finish the consulting works.The major functions of WordSnap includes:the search formula conversion between different databases,the attachment file content validation,the attachment file output format check.By using the assistant software,the consultant can save plenty of time wasted on the non-technical work and can spend more time on the quality guarantee.The work efficiency is also elevated by this means.
