Integration of Knowledge Organization Systems into Digital Library Architectures

Discusses the importance of integrating Knowledge Organization Systems (KOS) into digital library architectures and the approaches used at the Alexandria Digital Library (ADD project, in which the collections of the ADL, knowledge organization systems, and services have been integrated. The agendas for digital library and classification research in relating to KOS are also proposed.
