Job Demand-Control Model of Job Stress
|
Abstract:
Karasek created Job Demand-Control Model (JD-C Model) which claims that job stress is caused by both job demand and job control. Much research support this model, though test conclusions somewhat contradict Karaseks supposition of the interaction between job demand and job control. The differences between JD-C model and other job stress models, together with the research evidence concerned, positive or negative, are commented in this paper, and certain patterns for future research are suggested as well.
