A New Evolution Model of Internet
|
Abstract:
As a man-made huge network,Internet has many characteristics,e.g.,Internet is scale-free;Internet has a core; The probability of a newly added node being conneced to a given old node is linearly proportional to the degree of this old node;Hub nodes(nodes with large connectivity) in Internet are developed gradually in the evolution process.Networks evolved by BA model and some other network evolution model do not posess all of these characteristics. We propose a new evolution model of Internet in which the number of edges between a newly added node and old nodes are allowed to change with the time the newly added node enters the network.Simulation results and theoretical analysis show that the new evolution model, which can generate a network having all of the above characteristics, does accord with the evolution process of Internet.
