The Three-echelon Stochastic Inventory Routing Problem with Direct Deliveries
|
Abstract:
The inventory routing problem is one of the problems that have to be solved when implementing the strategy of vendor managed inventory, and such problem addresses the coordination of inventory management and transportation. We consider a three-echelon stochastic inventory routing problem with direct deliveries, limited vehicles and long horizon. We formulate the inventory routing problem as a Markov decision process, and decompose the problem into individual warehouse subproblems, which can be easier solved. At last,we find the approximate value of the optimal solution.
