Research on Optimization of Liner Routing Plan between North PRC and Taiwan
|
Abstract:
Based on summarization of the trade development between Mainland and Taiwan as well as inevitability of transport, this paper puts forward the through system as a liner routing plan for the route of North PRC/Taiwan. The traffic volume of the route is predicted and the voyage times of the two routing plans, i.e. the transfer system and the through system, are compared. The advantage of the through system is testified with the calculation of per unit transportation cost. The number of assigned ships in a shipping company is determined under the routing plan of the through system. According to the requirements of traffic and sailing schedule etc., a linear programming model of liners' calling has been established so that the optimal plan of liners' calling at ports on the route of North PRC/Taiwan is given out.
