Opportunistic behavior of commitment decision in R&D cooperation

Innovation investment and endogenous spillover are included in the commitment in cooperation R&D.This paper introduces opportunistic behavior into the three-stage strategic R&D model in a duopoly setting.The analysis results show that the incentives and effects of opportunistic behavior in commitment decision.We find that opportunism badly affects cooperation R&D.However,cooperating on multiple dimensions of R&D contriubute to the stability of R&D cooperation;the incentives for opportunism increases with th...
