The Study of Application of Hierarchical Flow Control Model in Processing Industry

Abstract:
The optimal control of a production system in processing industry is discussed. The production system with jump Markov disturbances consists of a set of equipment which can produce several types of products, but at any given time it can only produce one type of products. A setup (with setup time and cost) is required if production is to be switched from one type of product to another. A new hierarchical control model is constructed by introducing a new state variable and a new time horizon of the objective function. And the influence of the punishment parameter \$c\++\-i(c\+-\-i)\$ on the hierarchy policy is also discussed.
