Modeling and Optimizing in Supply Chain

In this paper, a review of supply chain optimization models is presented. Firstly, the concept of a supply chain is introduced, and relevant issues are discussed. Then the supply chain optimization models, including queueing theoretic models, game theoretic models, network flow models, and option valuation models, are studied. In particular, some typical mixed integer programming (MIP) models are analyzed. A framework of the supply chain optimization model is presented, too. And the relevant factors of the supply chain are discussed. Finally, the future studies in this area, e.g., supply chain re-engineering and optimizing, are explored.
