This paper aims at providing quick and right information feedback of cost estimation for the product design. We design and implement an agent\|based cost estimation system organized upon the contract net architecture. This paper proposes the agent behavior model for cost estimation by extending the reactive agent model, further designs and implements the agent model base by the object\|oriented methodology, presents and implements the message\|based behavior organizing approach and the agent\|based agent designing approach.
