A Real-time Travel Time Estimation Model Based on Backpropagation Neural Network

Travel time estimation is an important aspect for the traffic flow guidance system. In this paper, based on analysing several methods to estimate the travel time, we establish a real time travel time estimation model by using backpropagation neural network. The software system of the model is developed. The model is tested with detected data collected in Changchun city.
