Study on the Survey Point Layout of Turning Traffic Volume of Intersection
交叉口转向交通量调查布点方法研究

The turning traffic volumes of major intersections are the fundamental data of present traffic evaluation, management improvement of intersection and traffic forecasting. The shortcomings of the survey method that is widely used nowadays were pointed out in this paper. And a new precise calculation method to estimate the turning traffic volumes was put forward. This method merely needs traffic volumes of correlative segments and a few turning traffic volumes those are easily surveyed. Finally the method was proved.
