China''''s Trans-log Production Function Using Capital,Energy and Labor as Input

Abstract:
Besides capital stock and labor, adding the energy as an input, a China's trans\|log function with time trend is built. The ridge regression approach is used to estimate the parameters of the model, and the elasticity of productivity, substitution elasticity and the bias of technological progress of different inputs are studied. Moreover, we find that the increasing scale return with decreasing trend is existed in China's Economy; capital can effectively substitute labor and energy but the substitution between labor and energy is low; and the bias of the technological progress is small for different inputs, the rank of rate of technological progress is capital>energy>labor with converging trend which means neutral technological progress is main characteristic for technological change.
