The Port Competitive Strategies with Network Externality
网络外部性下的港口竞争策略设计

In this paper,we constructed a selection model based on Hotelling model to express forwarders' behavior.We further analyse the relationship among port's network externality,competition,service quality and port pricing strategy and service strategy.We found the port's optimal price is lower with network externality,which fierce the competition.Ports' service quality could be substitute and the port with lower marginal service cost prefer to higher service level.When the rate of sea transport and land transport increased,the port can use positive pricing strategy to gain more profit.
